Managing patients on home leave
If a patient is an inpatient, you can put them on home leave from Inpatients > Patient Detail > Patient admin.
Home leave describes when a patient is allowed to temporarily leave hospital for a period of time before returning. For example, a patient having procedures on Monday and Wednesday might be able to go home on Monday night and return Wednesday morning as part of planned care.
During this leave of absence, the patient might need to be supplied with regular medications, and any new medications. If the patient is going home with medications, before you can place the patient on home leave, a clinician must complete a home leave form and create a list of TTOs.

The process for home leave varies between organisations. You must familiarise yourself with local policies.
